The SLA218SP speaker is a low-frequency speaker that uses a completely new exterior structure and a new surface coating process. It is composed of two 18-inch low-frequency units. The 100mm diameter aluminum voice coil ensures efficient heat dissipation, allowing the coil to perform optimally. The speaker’s power handling capability reaching up to 4000W. The carefully designed magnetic circuit reduces the distortion of the low-frequency unit’s nonlinear waves, fully meeting the human body’s demand for high-quality low-frequency sound.
The SLA218SP enclosure is made of 18mm thick plywood, designed with a new acoustic architecture that is compact and refined, with a stylish appearance. The enclosure’s tensile strength can reach up to 4500N. The design of the SLA218SP speaker adopts the best-performing inverted low-frequency design available today, and the inverted tube is optimized to reduce wind noise at a certain speed, minimizing its interference with low-frequency output, thus improving sound quality.
The speaker uses an integrated steel grille made of Q235 material, with a powder coating process applied to ensure the grille has high strength and excellent resistance to salt spray, with an anti-salt spray capability (5% sodium chloride solution) of up to 96 hours. The external part of the iron grille is woven with cloth, preventing external water from entering and providing waterproofing.
The specially designed metal connectors and dedicated metal suspension brackets make it easy to connect the SLA218SP speaker with the SLA212P, and the connection and disassembly of the suspension brackets are equally convenient and quick. Angle adjustments can be completed by one person.
The SLA218SP speaker, paired with the SLA212P full-range speaker, is mainly used in large indoor venues such as gymnasiums, theaters, arenas, outdoor performances, and other similar locations. Especially when it comes to vocal performance, the system is characterized by a sound that is “clear, full, and without losing richness.” This is the distinctive sound quality of the SLA218SP and SLA212P system.
